Lana's Fashion Boutique

Meet Lana

Lana Hawkins
Lana Hawkins has many passions: singing jazz in many local lounges and clubs, rescuing otherwise hopeless animals and finding them good homes, and staying on the cutting edge of fashion.

Lana opened her clothing store near the campus of Western Michigan University in November, 2004. After realizing how starved for trendy fashion this area of southwest Michigan truly is, Lana decided to bring name brands into her store that are not offered anywhere around here, which makes her store truly unique.

In November of 2008, Lana opened her second store, Lana's Couture in Downtown Kalamazoo to extend the availability of designer denim to professional, mature women.
After closing her campus location, she re-opened Lana's Boutique in Saugatuck Michigan, in the spring of 2010. The third location, Lana's Boutique in St. Joseph Michigan, is scheduled to open April 2011.

Lana loves to rescue and foster cats and kittens in her store. These loving animals need forever homes but have a safe place to stay at Lana’s until then. Most of these homeless animals come from Kalamazoo County Animal Services, where hundreds of homeless pets are abandoned each year.

Lana sings jazz standards and classics on weekends around Southwest Michigan. Her CD, which is named “Beyond the Rainbow”, is dedicated to the memory of her younger brother who passed away in January 2007. Most recently, Lana portrayed Patsy Cline in "A Closer Walk with Patsy Cline" at Farmer's Alley Theatre in Kalamazoo.
